About the role: Located in Marousi, Athens, the Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding our market presence and increasing market share across Greece and the broader Balkan region. The role combines core sales responsibilities with selected administrative and operational tasks, including customer account management, inventory monitoring, purchasing coordination, and sales forecasting. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient operation of BayWa r.e. Solar Systems Greece and in supporting smooth, scalable business processes across the organization.

 

What You Will Do

  • Manage and further develop a regional network of installers and EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction companies) specializing in solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Own and drive business targets by developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and working closely with senior management.
  • Lead the bidding process and conduct commercial negotiations for projects.
  • Act as a key point of contact and provide technical support for customers and the broader commercial team.
  • Identify and onboard new business partners or multipliers to expand beyond the existing customer base.
  • Contribute to the definition of product and purchasing strategies as an active member of the new business development team.
  • Collaborate closely with a small operations team, handing over established accounts while focusing on the development of new business opportunities.
  • Review customer account balances and monitor outstanding payments.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment needs; manage the purchasing process, including preparing and placing supplier orders.
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts based on historical data, current order intake, and market trends

What You Bring

  • A university degree, preferably in engineering, business administration, or similar.
  • At least two years of professional experience in the photovoltaic solar energy sector in Greece, with a solid technical understanding of PV systems.
  • An established network of contacts within the solar energy ecosystem, including project development, construction, and/or electricity trading companies.
  • Strong communication skills combined with a high level of autonomy, initiative, and self-motivation.
  • A strong passion for renewable energy and the motivation to contribute to a young, dynamic, and growing organization.
  • A background in either technical or commercial roles, with a clear interest in expanding expertise into the complementary field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with ERP and/or CRM systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, with strong intercultural awareness.
