Project Management Office (PMO) Lead

In this leadership position, you’ll shape project governance, optimize portfolio performance, and guide cross-functional teams through change. And this is how you protect the world we live in

Manage and oversee the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
Monitor project performance, budgets, risks, and resource allocation, with a strong focus on tracking planned vs. actual values
Report financial and project status to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making
Lead or coordinate a PMO team (currently one person), providing guidance, coaching, and support
Facilitate governance structures such as steering committees and ensure project compliance
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and support change and transformation initiatives
Develop and implement project management standards, processes, and tools across the organization
Act as a central point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution

Who we are looking forward to

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in project management and PMO functions in a complex and international environment
Strong expertise in project controlling, including tracking of planned vs. actual values
Solid financial knowledge, including understanding of balance sheets and financial reporting
Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, Agile) and portfolio management practices
Experience in leading or coordinating project teams, with demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities, including stakeholder management
Proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Power BI)
Fluent in English and German
