To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Head of Treasury (m/f/d) to join us in Tübingen with immediate effect.
About the role: The Head of Treasury is responsible for building and developing an independent, internationally oriented treasury function. The role encompasses strategy development, Target Operating Model design, implementation of the required systems, and ongoing operational treasury management. The role reports directly to the CFO, leads a team of up to four employees, and will play a key role in the establishment of a modern, scalable treasury organization, transitioning existing structures into a standalone target model.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement the Treasury Target Operating Model, lead Treasury Management System selection and implementation, establish international banking structures, and manage treasury transition activities
- Build integrated liquidity forecasting, implement cash pooling structures, oversee payment operations, optimize working capital, and develop treasury reporting
- Establish and manage FX hedging processes, treasury accounting, and guarantee management frameworks
- Build an in-house bank structure, manage external financing facilities and covenant compliance
- Recruit and develop the treasury team, establish treasury governance, and manage external partners including banks, auditors, and system providers
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a comparable field
- 8-10 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in building a treasury function (carve-out, post-merger integration, or greenfield setup)
- Preferred treasury qualifications include Corporate Treasurer VDT® or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
- Deep expertise in cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments, and cash pooling
- Strong knowledge of FX risk management, hedge accounting (IFRS 9), and fair value measurement (IFRS 13)
- Experience with Treasury Management System selection and implementation projects
- Skills for guiding teams, resolving conflicts, making decisions, and working independently
- Advanced ability to inspire teams and drive organizational change
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Fluent German and English language skills
