About the role
The Group Demand Planner, located in Tübingen, Germany or Venlo, Netherlands is part of the Global Sales & Operations organization and is responsible for consolidating and managing demand planning activities across regions. The role ensures accurate forecasting to support central purchasing and inventory management, contributing to optimal stock levels and service performance. The position collaborates closely with internal stakeholders such as sales, supply planning, and management teams. Success in this role is measured by forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, service levels, and effective contribution to S&OP processes.

  • Lead and execute demand planning and inventory management activities within the Global S&OP organization
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts using analytical models and data insight
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and alignment during S&OP cycles
  • Provide demand signals and inputs to supply planning for procurement and supply decisions 
  • Monitor and report changes in sales forecasts, supply situation, and market developments impacting demand 
  • Identify risks and opportunities and support the leadership team with mitigation strategies 
  • Improve forecast accuracy and planning processes through data-driven initiatives 
  • Manage inventory targets, balancing service level, cost, and obsolescence risks
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance S&OP maturity and efficiency

Who we are looking forward to

  • A University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Supply Chain Management or similar
  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, analytics, or similar roles in an international and complex organiozations
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to work with complex data structures
  •  Experience in demand planning, forecasting techniques, and S&OP processes
  • Ability to define and track KPIs for data-driven decision-making  
  • Experience in distribution or PV/solar industry  is nice to have
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across functions and regions
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment
  • Strong Excel skills 
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems  are preferred
  • Power BI or similar visualization tools  are beneficial
  • Knowledge of supply chain planning tools  is preferred
