About the role
 
BayWa r.e. Solar Trade Purchasing Services is looking for a Customs & Logistics specialist (m/f/d) to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Customs and Logistics.

Your Tasks

• Writing & monitoring of the work instructions and procedures
• Supporting other departments (e.g. purchasing, logistics) from multiple legal entities with their questions about customs clearance procedure, goods storage and shipment delivery
• Ensuring customs compliance and customs process optimization by establishing the system of internal controls on customs & logistics process
• Support management in setting out and implementing of the Customs & Trade compliance policy
• Act as the first point of contact for customs broker & customs authorities in case of questions or goods inspections
• Working with all stakeholders on daily basis with the aim of developing an excellent working relationship with third party supplier

Your Profile

• Bachelor degree level (HBO) in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
• Able to think in processes and to recognize possible improvements and do not hesitate to propose them
• Accuracy, planning and prioritization are qualities applicable to you
• Basic knowledge of the customs and trade compliance processes and curious to discover customs & logistics area even more
• Knowledge and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, AP+) would be a plus
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as someone who is able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
